Tost day 11 & 12

Day 11 Chris and I went exploring the Da’an district and back to Ximen for my final day in Taiwan.
Saturday 9/24
Exploring Da’an
Visit Wisteria Teahouse
Back in Ximen for shaved snow
Sunday 9/25
Good-bye Taiwan!
We spent the day walking around Da’an District to check out Airbnb’s and all the shops. Lunch was at Lao-zhang Beef Noodles which had the best beef noodles I’ve ever eaten.
We escaped the heat at Yiruihua-The Artist’s Ice Shop. They serve floral themed shaved iced. I had osmanthus with rose jelly on top and cold brew Lishan Oolong.

Late afternoon we relaxed at a Japanese-style tea house called Wistaria, named for the three wisteria vines in the front courtyard. We had their titular tea which was a Dong Ding Oolong.

That evening we returned to Ximen. We watched some street dancers and cosplayers while wondering around the shops and market stalls. I ended the trip how I started; Shaved snow!

Day 12 began the long flight back to the States. At Taoyuan International Airport I got to try TKK Fried Chicken for the first time. There’s a Kung Fu Tea at home that I love but not a TKK, unfortunately.

It was great being back in Taiwan and getting to see all my tea friends again! All the new things I learned, all the new people I met, and all the new and familiar places I went was an experience of a lifetime, every time!
Although, I ran into the same problem I always do when leaving Taiwan-I buy so much tea that I have to buy extra luggage to get it all home! Besides all the tea I bought, my favorite item I brought home were these matching husky figurines. I’ll never get over how cute they are! They sit on my tea cabinet as my newest tea pets.
